
delhi chief minister rekha Gupta on saturday (14 June) announced that we will soon build a 'Dilwalon ki Delhi'. She said that the government will soon issue strict orders to protect the walls from getting damaged. The chief minister also stressed that a city cannot be kept clean by relying only on the government. At a book launch ceremony in the capital, cm rekha Gupta said that she envisions transforming the capital into a true 'Dilwalon ki Delhi', where delhi is clean, yamuna river is pure and calm, and the city is full of greenery. She emphasized that some focused and effective measures will be required to achieve this vision.
'The city cannot be clean by relying only on the government'
chief minister rekha Gupta gave a clear message of cleanliness to the people of delhi and said that no city can remain clean by relying only on the government. He said, "I am not in favour of those who spread garbage here and there or dirty the place by putting posters and banners in public places."
'Public should consider it their duty'
The cm further said that participation and responsibility of citizens is also very important to keep delhi clean. Unless the public itself considers cleanliness as its duty, no campaign can be successful.
'Development works are being given priority'
At the same time, minister Kapil Mishra, while criticizing the previous governments, said that the work of changing the condition in which delhi was left is happening rapidly under the leadership of rekha Gupta. Now delhi is moving forward in the vision of the chief minister and development work is being given priority. On this occasion, Special Commissioner of delhi Police Robin Hibu also appealed to the people regarding cleanliness and environment. He said that to make delhi beautiful, every person will have to start from his courtyard. Plant a plant, give it fertilizer and water, give love and do not throw the garbage of the house here and there.
