
Mangani Lal Mandal filed nomination for the post of President of bihar RJD on saturday (14 June). He reached the party office by car with leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav to file the nomination. RJD supremo Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi and Misa Bharti were also present at the time of nomination.
Formal announcement of name will be made on 19 June
Unopposed election of Mangani Lal Mandal is certain. Because only he has filed nomination for the post of President. He has filed nomination papers before the party's state election officer Dr. Tanveer Hasan in the RJD office. His name will be formally announced in the RJD State Council meeting at Gyan Bhavan in patna on 19 June.
Mangani Lal Mandal will replace Jagdanand Singh
In place of Jagdanand Singh, 76-year-old Mangani Lal Mandal is going to get the responsibility of bihar RJD President. Through him, RJD is trying to woo the extremely backward class in the election year. He is a big leader of the extremely backward society. The population of this class is the highest in bihar at 36 percent. Mangani Lal Mandal was in RJD for a long time. After that he went to JDU.
In january this year, he left JDU and came back to RJD. He was a member of bihar Legislative Council from 1986 to 2004. During this period, he was also a minister in the state cabinet. He has also been a rajya sabha MP from 2004 to 2009. assembly elections will be held in bihar in October-November this year.
