Congress leader rahul gandhi, as the leader of Opposition in the lok sabha, launched a scathing attack on the election system and said that India's electoral system is dead.

Leader of Opposition in the lok sabha, rahul gandhi, speaking at the congress Party's annual Legal Conclave 2025 in New Delhi, launched a major attack on the country's electoral system. He said, 'India's election system is already dead.' rahul gandhi claimed that there was massive rigging in the 2024 lok sabha elections, giving the bharatiya janata party (BJP) a very narrow majority.

Congress will present evidence of rigging

Rahul gandhi said that the congress Party will present evidence in the coming days that will prove how and in what way the lok sabha elections were influenced. He said, 'We will show you in the coming few days how the lok sabha elections can be rigged and were done.' He also said that the BJP has come to power with a very small majority.

If there was no rigging, he would not have become PM: Rahul

Rahul gandhi further said, 'The truth is that if there was no rigging in 15 seats, narendra modi would not have been the prime minister of india today.' Describing the electoral process as ineffective, he said that 'the election system in india is now over.'

Arun Jaitley had threatened during the agricultural laws

Rahul gandhi made serious allegations against former Finance minister arun jaitley during this time. He said that when he was fighting against the three agricultural laws, Arun Jaitley was sent to threaten him. He said, 'I remember when I was opposing the agricultural laws, arun jaitley ji came to threaten me. He told me that if you continue to oppose the government and fight against the agricultural laws, we will have to take action against you.' To this, rahul gandhi replied, 'Maybe you do not know who you are talking to.'

Rahul claims congress has proof

Speaking to reporters in the parliament complex earlier this week, rahul gandhi said that the congress party has obtained evidence like an "atom bomb", which proves that the voter list has been tampered with on a large scale. He said, 'We investigated deeply because the election commission was not helping us. What we found is an atom bomb. When it explodes, you will not see the election commission in India.'

Doubts have also been expressed about the madhya pradesh and maharashtra elections.

Rahul Gandhi said that he suspected rigging in madhya pradesh and lok sabha elections, but this doubt deepened in the maharashtra assembly elections. He said, 'At the state level, we felt that votes were being stolen.'
