Tirumala tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), one of the country's richest religious organizations, has made public the details of the assets held by it. According to this detail, even in the era of Corona Virus, there has been no shortage of donors to the temple. During the last three years, about 2,900 kg of gold has been donated to tirupati Temple. A list of its assets, including its fixed deposits and gold deposits, was released by ttd on a white paper on Saturday. According to this, the temple currently has 10.3 tonnes of gold and reserves of Rs 15,938 crore. Also told that the current trust board has made its investment guidelines stronger than before after the year 2019.
Gold reserves increased so much in three years
According to the report, the gold reserves of the temple trust was 7339.4 tonnes in the year 2019, but now it has increased to 10.3 tonnes. Accordingly, during the last 3 years, the stock of the trust has increased by about 2.9 tonnes (about 2,900 kg). This gold is deposited in government banks in the form of gold deposits, which is worth more than Rs 5,300 crore at the current price.
Temple property has become Rs 2.26 lakh crore
The net worth of the temple has increased to Rs 2.26 lakh crore during the last three years. According to the report, TTD's executive officer AV dharma Reddy told that the temple trust had invested around Rs 13,025 crore in the form of fixed deposits in various banks in the year 2019. The current value of this is Rs 15,938 crore. This investment has also increased by about Rs 2,900 crore.
According to the report, the temple trust has about 960 properties across the country, spread over 7,123 acres of land. Let us tell you that the main source of income of the temple is charity, which comes from devotees, traders and institutions.
