Olympian and world champion Isha Singh clinched the gold medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event at the ISSF world cup held at Ningbo Olympic sports Center.
This is Isha’s first-ever world cup gold medal, ending India's title drought in the ISSF Rifle/Pistol World Cup.
Thrilling Final
The 20-year-old shooter narrowly defeated local favorite Yao Qianxun by just 0.1 points, with a final score of 242.6.
Defending Olympic champion Oh Yejin from south korea secured the bronze medal.
India’s Position on the Medals Table
With Isha’s gold, india moved up to fifth place on the points table.
India shares the fifth position with four other countries, each having won one gold medal.
Host nation china leads the medals tally with 2 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze.
Team Composition and Performance
India fielded its fourth to sixth ranked shooters in every event during the tournament.
Isha expressed her excitement about winning gold in her first world cup competition and looks forward to the upcoming World Championships in Cairo.

Performance of Other indian Shooters
Isha and her partner Rhythm Sangwan both qualified for the final with scores of 578, securing the last two spots.
Rhythm started strong and was in first place after the first series but finished fourth in the final after the 18th shot.
Rhythm scored a notable 10.8 on her 15th shot but was eventually eliminated.
Other indian shooters included Palak Gulia, who scored 586 in qualification (competing for ranking points), and surabhi Rao, who finished 25th with 568.
Additional Results in Men’s Events
Bhavesh Shekhawat finished 22nd in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol.
Pradeep Singh Shekhawat placed 23rd.
Mandeep Singh ended at 39th position.
