Reportedly a woman residing in the same building as sushant singh rajput said that the lights of the late actor's room went off on the night of june 13. She further said that only the kitchen lights were on and this never used to happen earlier. The actor’s death, initially declared a suicide by the mumbai police, sent shockwaves across the nation. The mumbai police filed an Accidental Death Report on the same day and began investigating. They recorded statements of several people including sushant singh Rajput's family members, industry friends, and Rhea Chakraborty.
However, on July 25, sushant singh Rajput’s father, kk Singh, filed a complaint at Patna’s Rajiv nagar police station against rhea chakraborty, her family, Samuel Miranda and shruti Modi. An FIR was filed on the basis of the complaint. On July 29, Rhea moved the supreme court seeking transfer of investigation to mumbai from Bihar.
Moreover the first hearing in the case took place on august 5. It was followed by a second, and a third hearing on august 11 and august 13 respectively. In the fourth and last hearing on august 19, the supreme court allowed the cbi to take charge of the investigation and the Special Investigation Team of cbi reached mumbai on Thursday.
