Instant messaging platform whatsapp is working on a feature that will help in identifying messages sent by unknown contacts in whatsapp groups. According to the report of WABetaInfo, whatsapp has released an Android 2.23.5.12 update for its beta users.

According to the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, whenever a user receives a message from an unknown number in a group chat, they will see the push name instead of the mobile number in the chat list. This feature will help in improving the chatting experience of the people and with this, users will be able to know about the unknown contact's number without saving it.

The company has released this feature for iOS beta testers. Users can use this feature by updating to iOS beta 23.5.0.73 of WhatsApp. According to the report, this feature is currently available to some beta testers. Users can use this feature by updating their app.

WhatsApp will introduce 21 new emoji

Apart from this feature, whatsapp is also going to introduce 21 new emojis. It is being tested for beta testers. Let us tell you that the new emoji are part of the latest Unicode 15.0 update of WhatsApp. Earlier these emojis were not officially available but now whatsapp is planning to introduce them.
