Jaisalmer-based Infantry Battalion Commanding Officer has written a letter to bollywood actor sonu sood who has been at the forefront in serving the covid-19 hit people from the past one year. In the letter he requested the actor to arrange medical assistance to the armed forces at the jaisalmer military station.

He praised the actor for his selfless work in the pandemic and requested him to provide medical assistance to set up a 200 bedded Covid Care Centre. The letter which was dated as May 13 is going viral on social media and has led to a debate in the armed forces. While few officers are pointing out at the CO for the way he seeked help, few are appreciating his move in this pandemic time.

In the letter he mentioned that given the availability of limited resources, there was a requirement for additional equipment and sought four ICU Beds, 10 oxygen Concentrators, 10 Jumbo oxygen Cylinders (7000 lts), one X-ray machine, two generator sets 15 KVA at the military station.

He requested all these equipment and medical assistance as part of the “Corporate Social Responsibility”. In the letter the army CO also mentioned that his generous act will be remembered. While closing he wrote with profound regards and favorable action please.
