- Nilesh (Pointsman, Malkhed) – While exchanging signals with a goods train, he observed a hot axle in one of the wagons. His swift red-flag warning and report to the Station master prevented a fire hazard or derailment.

- Vishwamitra Kumar Yadav (Technician, Daund) – During a rolling-in examination, he noticed a fault in the CBC coupling of a wagon. Closer inspection revealed a broken yoke, which could have caused a derailment. His alertness saved lives and property.
