kannada superstar Upendraa is well-known in tollywood for his powerful performance and commanding screen presence. Upendra was slated to direct Megastaar chiranjeevi after his directorial attempt Omkaram with Rajasekhaar became a superhit in tollywood back in 1997. "I had a chance to direct Megastaar Chiraanjeevi garu for ashwini Dutt's production, but the project never came together." That's my greatest disappointment to date because I've never had the opportunity to work with him again."
