Scorpion stings killed three people and hundreds injured

Three people are dead and hundreds of people injured and admitted to the hospital after a scorpion swarm in Aswan, Egypt. More than five hundred people were injured after scorpion stings due to heavy rain and thunderstorms. Due to thunderstorms, scorpions have started to move into the roads and many people's homes. Many attacks have happened near the mountain areas. The health Ministry has informed that around 89 people are admitted to Aswan hospital and many hundreds of people in other hospitals. Even many doctors are also asked to return from their vacation to treat people with scorpion stings. Many Anti-venoms are been bought to many medical centers which are located in rural areas.


                             Aswan Governor, Ashraf Attia has ordered the closure of ships in the River nile and Lake Nasser from entering into the nearby cities. He also ordered to close a few roads due to storms and heavy rains. Many places have also seen heavy traffics on Friday. The local people have been informed to stay indoors and avoid places having more trees. The intense rains, thunderstorms, and dust storms have created the fear of floods among people. Egypt's fat-tailed scorpion has been the most venomous in the world. Its venom can kill humans if not treated within an hour of the sting.
