Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the state president of the bharatiya janata party, was detained by the telangana police on friday while he was leading a group of party officials and members of the media to the temple town of Basar to show support for the IIIT students who have been protesting the lack of facilities and faculty in the university.

At the Bhiknoor toll plaza, the cops surrounded Sanjay and his convoy. They claimed that because to the difficult circumstances, he did not have permission to travel to Basar. The bjp president and others squatted on the roadway to express their objection while insisting that they would go to Basar. He and the others were detained by the police and sent to the Bhiknoor police station as a result.

Sanjay questioned what the offence was in visiting Basar to learn about the issues the pupils were having. He fired shots at the university administration for cutting off the institution's electricity and water supplies. He claimed that had the chief minister acted and addressed the students' fundamental problems, the crisis would not have happened. He claimed that he would travel to Basar in order to show support for the protesting youngsters.
