If a leader of any political party, particularly in the telugu states, is selected as the coordinator or in-charge of any assembly constituency, it is believed that he will run for the seat on behalf of the party. A sitting mla of any constituency is typically seen as being in command of that constituency's party. Any politician in control of the constituency is likely to receive the party ticket in the upcoming elections if the party does not represent the constituency in the assembly. The party will appoint a different leader to oversee the constituency if it wants to refuse the ticket to any existing mla, signalling that he will run for office in the upcoming elections.

Therefore, when the bharatiya janata party recently appointed party leaders as in-charges and coordinators of various constituencies in telangana, they were all overjoyed because they anticipated receiving party tickets for the upcoming assembly elections, which are set for the second half of next year. However, the party national leadership made it very clear to them that those who had been appointed as in-charges and coordinators of different constituencies would not be eligible to contest the elections and that they should instead work for the victory of the candidates who would be given the tickets, much to their utter shock and dismay.

Everyone was astonished when bjp general secretary for telangana Sunil Bansal made this declaration at the party's training camp, which ended on tuesday in Hyderabad. Therefore, senior leaders such as former public service commission member Vithal and former hyderabad mayor Banda Karthika Reddy, who were appointed as the party in-charges for various constituencies, won't be receiving the party tickets to run in the elections. The same goes for former MLAs Yennam srinivas Reddy, Yendala Lakshminarayana, and M dharma Rao.
