In a recent interview, veteran producer dil raju said that Vijay is a larger star than ajith in Tamilnadu, which is why he is pleading with tamil distributors to provide Varissu 20% more theatres than Thunivu. These remarks sparked debate in Tamil-speaking markets, but there is also something we should consider in the Telugu-speaking markets.

Dil Raju is reportedly pushing tamil distributors and exhibitors to give his film varasudu more theatres since he believes Vijay is a greater star than Ajith. Given that the markets for chiranjeevi and Balakrishna's movies are significantly larger than those of Vijay here in the telugu states, why shouldn't Mythri Movies exert pressure on distributors and exhibitors to offer them additional theatres?

To that end, dil raju asserts that whoever can draw audiences to theatres would receive the finest treatment for their films. By the same reasoning, since dil raju is a newcomer to the tamil industry, experienced producers would get more theatres for ajith than Vijay. While this is nothing more than common sense, individuals who were offended by dil Raju's remarks are now pleading with him to grant Veerayya and Veerasimha access to more of these theatres.

According to sources from Vizag, chiru and balayya each received four theatres, while Vijay's varasudu received six. However, dil raju only holds ground leases for 37 of the 450+ odd screens in Telangana, therefore allocating more theatres to chiru and balayya will not just depend on Raju but also other parties.
