Constable Sonu Chaudhary of the Baidpura police station had to convince the Superintendent of police that what he had said was not a hoax when he arrived with the baby's body. The policeman had to arrive with the baby's lifeless body to prove that the reason given for the leave was not false. He had already asked for leave. His wife is ill. Sonu Chaudhary said that he asked for leave to take care of his sick wife and child, but the SP did not give him leave. He says that because he was at work, he was not really able to look after the baby and his wife, so the baby would have fallen into the pit and died.

He said that his wife Kavitha was not feeling well since last week and on january 7, SP (City) kapil dev applied for leave. On wednesday afternoon, when he went to work, his son went out of the house and fell into the ditch. Sonu Chaudhary says that the child was brought to the hospital immediately but he died. Kavitha, who was lying unwell, did not see the child go out. He did this when he was in great pain and could not get leave. Arriving with the baby's lifeless body, he was consoled by other officials of the station and asked to go back to his home in ekta Colony. He and his family live in a two-room house on the ground floor of a building.
