The ysr congress party leaders claim it is obvious evidence that the state government is preparing for the capital relocation because andhra pradesh chief minister Y S jagan Mohan reddy declared Visakhapatnam will become the state capital "in the days to come." Since jagan made the announcement, the party leaders, who had previously maintained confidentiality and only made oblique suggestions, are now publicly endorsing the capital relocation.

On Tuesday, Y v Subba reddy, a senior ysr congress party official in charge of Visakhapatnam and the chairman of the tirumala tirupati Devasthanams trust board, took a step further and declared that the state administration would run from Visakhapatnam much before April. Subba reddy told reporters in Visakhapatnam, "We are making all plans for the transfer of the capital to Visakhapatnam and commence the administrative activities from there before april itself.

He claimed that, as previously stated, the government is preparing to end the legal dispute as soon as possible and start running things from Visakhapatnam. Accordingly, it is making the necessary provisions, he said. The administrative capital's anticipated start date at Visakhapatnam is set for march 22, which also happens to be Ugadi festival, an auspicious muhurtham for any new endeavour or job. According to these sources, the secretariat and other government offices would move after the chief minister's office initially.
