Passport Verification in 5 Days...!? How..?

The Ministry of External Affairs today (Feb 17) launched the 'mPassport police App' to streamline and speed up the police verification process for issuing passports to indian citizens. Henceforth, this app is full of police verification and submission report. The process will also be made paperless, according to a statement issued today by the Ministry of External Affairs Regional Passport office (RPO) in Delhi. The delhi RPO tweeted today that the office is committed to efficient service delivery and wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital India. mPassport app will reduce police verification time to 5 days.

Online Passport police Verification Process:

As part of wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital India, Passport Seva has introduced an online Passport police verification process to fast-track passport applications. The mpassport is one of the tools developed by Passport Seva. It is a wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital, tablet, and computer-based app for police verification of passport applications. You can apply for a passport online through the Passport Seva website or through the mPassport mobile app.
Steps to Submit Online Passport police Verification:

- Register on the online portal for passport service.

- Login to the portal and click on the link "Apply for police Clearance Certificate".

- Submit after filling in all the details in the form.
- Click on “Pay and Schedule Appointment” in the option that appears on the “View Saved/Submitted Applications” screen to schedule an appointment and pay your fee.


- Once your payment is successful, click on "Print application Receipt" or wait for the receipt SMS. You can also display it on mobile instead of printing it.

- Go to the Passport Seva Kendra where your appointment is scheduled. Carry all necessary documents.

How to check the police verification status for a passport online?
