eenadu daily for its inaccurate coverage of the
gannavaram incident. According to sources, in addition to bringing the matter before the
press Council, the administration and the ruling
party plan to file a lawsuit. Ambati Rambabu, the
minister for irrigation, said that
eenadu had published a fabricated narrative and false images on the top page.
eenadu deleted the images from the online edition and apologised after the incorrect report was made public on social media, attributing the error to a technical error.
He claimed that while the incorrect information was published on the front page, the inaccuracy was reported on the second page. Ambati threatened to initiate a defamation lawsuit if the
eenadu group didn't apologise on the top page by tomorrow. He claimed that the incorrect reporting approach used by
eenadu had been revealed and ascribed it to a political plot to install
chandrababu naidu as chief minister.
