Suspended raja Singh, a bjp lawmaker, has dismissed rumours that, should his suspension not be removed by the party, he may run in the upcoming assembly elections as an independent. raja Singh, a representative for Hyderabad's Goshamahal constituency in the telangana Legislative assembly, declared that if his suspension was not overturned, he would not run for office. raja Singh claimed he never worked against the BJP's objectives and would never do anything to bring shame onto the organisation. He hoped that the party's leadership would lift his suspension.

The Legislator added that he greatly admires both Federal home minister amit shah and prime minister Narendra Modi. He declared that he has complete faith in the abilities of Union minister G. kishan reddy and state bjp leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar. raja Singh's clarification was made in response to rumours that he intended to run for the assembly as an independent from the Amberpet constituency, which had previously been represented by Kishan Reddy. There have been rumours that the Lawmaker is considering leaving the bjp and running in the upcoming elections as an independent candidate because the party has not removed his suspension despite the fact that he responded to the show cause notice.

The Lawmaker was detained by the police in august of last year after making remarks that offended Muslims' religious feelings. On august 25, the hyderabad police commissioner invoked the PD Act, and he was thereafter sent to jail. Also, he was expelled from the BJP. Following his arrest under the Preventive Detention Act, raja Singh spent two months in jail until being released on november 9.
