A known gangster from Uttar Pradesh named Atiq ahmed and his brother Ashraf ahmed were assassinated in Prayagraj while being escorted for a checkup. The gangster, who, according to law authorities, has been involved in at least 100 criminal cases, recently made headlines after his son Asad was slain in an encounter just two days earlier in Jhansi. Journalists who were following the two chained brothers as they made their way to the hospital for a checkup were following them when the incident occurred at around 10 o'clock in the evening, and they managed to get footage of it.
Three people have reportedly been detained in relation to the incident, which happened just two days after Asad, Ahmad's son, was killed in a police shootout in Jhansi, according to a high-ranking police official. Early on that day, Asad's burial rites were conducted. At least three people were seen firing at Ahmad (60) and Ashraf at close range while pretending to be press, resulting in their fall. The offenders were promptly taken down by law enforcement. After their terrible deaths, tension grew as Ahmad and Ashraf's bullet-riddled bodies were removed from the area.
