Karnataka cm post Suspense Continues..!!

After the Congress' resounding victory in the assembly elections, the race for the position of chief minister of karnataka has remained in suspense. This evening, party head mallikarjun Kharge met with the two candidates, DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah. However, the meetings didn't produce any results. According to insiders, Mr. Kharge is attempting to create a balance and tomorrow there will be further meetings. It has been requested that Mr. Siddaramaiah and Mr. Shivakumar remain in Delhi.

Sources claim that Mr. Shivakumar made it plain to Mr. Kharge during their discussion that he would not back down in their contentious conflict with former chief minister Siddaramaiah. But according to reports, Mr. Siddaramaiah has the backing of the majority of MLAs.

In light of rumours that he is the front-runner in the campaign for the top position, Mr. Siddaramaiah spent a significant portion of yesterday in Delhi, where he met with senior congress officials.

The team of observers sent to the state informed the party's leadership of the opinions of the recently elected MLAs. Later, Mr. Kharge and senior party figures rahul gandhi and KC Venugopal discussed the complex issue of the top position, which could impact the party's chances in the general election in the following year.

By choosing one of the two candidates, you run the risk of alienating the other candidate's supporters both inside and beyond the party. In DK Shivakumar's case, it might refer to a sizable portion of the Vokkaligas, who play a vital role politically. In Mr. Siddaramaiah's case, it may entail a number of MLAs supporting him as well as the AHINDA platform, an old-fashioned social alliance of minorities, Other Backward Classes, and Dalits who had voted overwhelmingly for the Congress.
