It is being told that indigo flight 6E 6952 going to ranchi took off from pune airport carrying 147 passengers. When the plane reached the sky of ranchi, due to bad weather, permission was not given to take off. After this, the plane made several rounds and the pilot contacted the nearest airport varanasi, giving information about the weather news in ranchi, and asked permission to land the plane.


After getting permission from varanasi ATC, the aircraft was diverted from Ranchi's airspace and landed at varanasi airport at 8:26 am. There was huge displeasure among the passengers who reached varanasi instead of Ranchi. Passengers also faced problems as the plane was diverted.


After clearing the weather in ranchi, the aircraft could take off from varanasi airport at 9:44 am. indigo airlines manager Ankur said that due to bad weather in ranchi, the aircraft was diverted and landed at varanasi airport. All the passengers on the plane were seated in the plane itself. After the weather cleared, the plane took off from varanasi airport for Ranchi.




On the other hand, the plane which reached patna from Bangalore also could not land there due to bad weather. He too was diverted to Babatpur airport in Varanasi. There were 139 passengers on board the plane.
