If you have already seen the Korean thriller 'Blind', we would definitely recommend you to skip this one without any thoughts as 'Netrikann' is just a frame-to-frame remake and there is nothing original. Nayanthara (Durga) is a visually challenged ex-cop and she is the prime witness in a hit-and-run case and when she starts to dig this case, she finds the accused is a serial rapist and killer.

She gets help from a good cop and she tries to nab down the serial killer. Nayanthara nails her role as a visually challenged woman and it is good to see her without any oily makeup. There are few particular moments just created to confirm Nayanthara's 'Lady Super Star' tag and they can be seen in a metro train sequence and also in a shopping mall background. Ajmal as a serial rapist and killer never fits the bill and he never leaves an impression.

There are lots of cheesy moments and we should blame the sloppy writing behind it. On the positive side, the BGM and Camera work is perfect for a thriller, but an uneven narration and unwanted commercial elements literally ruin everything. The movie had a lot of hype before the release and thankfully this movie never had a theatrical release as it would have been a disappointment for the audience.
