TDP leader and former minister P Narayana was arrested by andhra pradesh police in hyderabad on Tuesday. He and his wife Ramadevi are being transported to ap under strict security. Narayana is the founder of the Narayana Group of educational institutions, which is currently facing charges in ap for leaking SSC question papers. In the chittoor district, the police have already arrested a vice-principal Giridhar and a few other instructors from the Narayana schools, as well as some government school teachers.

On april 29, a case was filed against them, with former minister Narayana listed as a co-accused. One hour after the question paper was handed out to pupils in an examination hall in chittoor district, it was leaked. Officials and the minister claimed that certain teachers from the Narayana group and some from government schools colluded to agitate the kids by sending the question paper outside one hour after the examination began.

The police are investigating a conspiracy hypothesis to tarnish the government, as the question papers are being released after the examination has begun, rather than before it. Following these instances, the state administration proclaimed school zones to be no-mobile zones and instructed all personnel to leave their phones at the main gate before entering examination centres to avoid sending question papers via mobile phones.
