abhishek Nama, a producer and distributor, wrote an open letter to other producers and the Active Guild that served as the impetus for the decision to halt filming indefinitely until the looming production cost control difficulties are handled. Along with ravi Teja, abhishek is now financing the expensive movie Ravanasura.

"I was opposed to the strike from the start, but I complied after being informed that it would benefit the producers and the industry. To support the cause, I halted my shoots in progress, and together with other members, I suffered significant losses. In the opening of his open letter, abhishek outlined the issues that had been brought up by his fellow industry workers and stated that it had been about 10 days since the strike started.

The issue at hand is how the theatrical sales are being impacted by the distribution of movies on OTTs two weeks after their separate theatrical debuts. The truth is that many Active Producers Guild members have already sold to OTTs through 2023. How will the decision not to sell movies to OTTs until eight weeks after their theatrical debut benefit the producers? Since OTT, satellite, and hindi dubbing cover 60–70% of the expenditures, they won't be able to sell their movies at the price they want to and will really be losing money. Holding back will only result in losses that you inflict on yourself.
