The wrestlers' meeting with home minister amit shah on saturday, according to sakshi Malik's husband Satyawrat Kadian, was fruitless since they "did not get the reaction they wanted from the home Minister." The wrestlers escalated their demand for the arrest of Wrestling Federation of india (WFI) head Brij bhushan during the meeting, which took place late on saturday at amit Shah's home in delhi and lasted till late that night.

"We left the meeting because we didn't get the response we sought from the home Minister. We are planning our strategy for the protest's future direction. Kadian declared, implying that the wrestlers are preparing their next move, "We won't back down. The gathering was conducted a few days after naresh Tikait, the farmer's leader, prevented the protesting wrestlers from throwing their medals into the ganga when they attempted to do so in Haridwar. Following their return, the administration was given a deadline to apprehend bjp mp Brij bhushan Sharan Singh by june 9.

Before meeting amit shah, the wrestlers also had a meeting with the sports minister, Anurag Thakur. A "fair probe into their allegations" was promised by Thakur. Brij bhushan Sharan Singh is the target of protests from wrestlers who claim he sexually molested female competitors, including a juvenile. Brij bhushan has been charged with two separate felonies under the Pocso Act thus far.
