In their flat, a 32-year-old lady was killed by her live-in partner, who subsequently dismembered her corpse. The gruesome murder that took place in a private community on Mira Road, close to Mumbai, is uncannily identical to the one committed last year by Shraddha Walkar's live-in boyfriend Aaftab Poonawala. The accused was "very well aware of the Shraddha Walkar murder case," according to police sources.

In May of last year, Aaftab Poonawala killed his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar, dismembered her body into 35 pieces, and dumped the body parts in a jungle over the course of 16 days. After her father reported himself missing in maharashtra in November, the murder was discovered.

Manoj Sane, 56, the accused in the murder of Saraswati Vaidya on Mira Road, hacked her corpse into 20 pieces after killing his live-in spouse. The body pieces were then pressure-cooked before being placed in plastic bags for disposal. According to police sources and accounts given to india Herald, the accused was aware of how Shraddha's body was dismembered and disposed of.

When the suspect was apprehended by the police, he admitted that Saraswati Vaidya had committed suicide. He said that he destroyed Saraswati's body after learning that she had killed herself.

HOW MANOJ, SARASWATI ENDED UP TOGETHER

Manoj Sane, a local of Borivali, was employed at a nearby ration store. He is an ITI graduate. The authorities are looking into certain properties he had in Borivali that were registered in his name.

Saraswati Vaidya resided at an orphanage since she was an orphan. She lacked any relatives.

Saraswati and Manoj met in 2014 as a result of her frequent visits to his ration store. They started dating right away. The two made the decision to live together in the same year, and they spent a few years in Borivali.

The couple moved to Mira Road in 2017 and has since been residing in a home in Geeta nagar Phase 7 on Mira Road.

HOW MANOJ SANE WAS ARRESTED
Residents of the block in Geeta nagar Phase 7 on Mira Road called Naya nagar police station on wednesday night to complain about a bad stench coming from the couple's flat. The decomposing remains of Saraswati were discovered when the police squad arrived at the scene and forced through the door.

The woman was killed a few days ago, and the accused was allegedly living with her decaying remains.

Blood and chopped body parts were discovered inside three buckets that the police discovered in the apartment's kitchen. police believe the accused may have thrown his live-in partner's dismembered body parts into a sewer down to some railway tracks that are close to his neighbourhood.

In an effort to avoid capture, police believe the accused may have given the woman's body parts to stray dogs.

The accused had used air freshener cans to cover up the odour in several parts of the flat, which the police also discovered.

However, the unpleasant odour alerted the building's occupants, who later called the police. The defendant was subsequently detained on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Manoj Sane was presented in court in relation to the murder of Saraswati Vaidya. To investigate the crime, the authorities requested 14 days of imprisonment.

The accused was placed in police detention until june 16 by the court.
