Telangana's 32.6 million voters will decide the destiny of 2,290 candidates running for 119 assembly seats on Thursday. This election is the culmination of an extensive campaign involving notable national figures such as prime minister Narendra Modi, Congressman rahul Gandhi, and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Chandrashekar Rao. On Thursday, 2,290 contestants for Telangana's 119 assembly seats will have their fate decided. 


On december 3, the results for Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram—all states where voting took place between november 7 and november 25—will be made public. The last of these states to hold elections is Telangana. In 106 seats, voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., while in 13 areas affected by Left Wing Extremism (LWE), it will take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. For the assembly elections, more than 250,000 employees would be working as poll workers, according to chief electoral officer Vikas Raj.

The bharatiya janata party (BJP) and the Jana Sena, led by actor Pawan Kalyan, are running for 111 and 8 seats, respectively, while the ruling BRS has candidates in all 119 seats. In addition, the congress has fielded candidates in 118 other constituencies and given its ally, the communist party of india (CPI), one seat.
