According to Chinese health officials, there is a "fluctuating downtrend" in respiratory diseases among youngsters. The number of cases at major medical institutions around the country has lately decreased, according to Mi Feng, a spokesman for the National health Commission, at a press conference in beijing on Sunday.

China informed the World health Organisation last month that recognized bacteria were the root of an outbreak of respiratory ailments among youngsters. Reports of an increase in disease fueled speculation that a new virus was to blame.

Outpatient visits and hospitalizations have increased owing to the spread of mycoplasma pneumonia, respiratory syncytial virus, adenovirus, and influenza, according to the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention and beijing Children's Hospital.

The increase occurred sooner than predicted given the relaxation of Covid restrictions, according to the WHO after a teleconference of health authorities.

In China, there has recently been a dramatic surge in instances of unexplained pneumonia. This illness, known as Mycoplasma pneumonia, has mostly impacted children. Meanwhile, various media sources in india have propagated the word that instances of this Chinese pneumonia have been discovered in our nation in recent days. According to reports, 7 samples of this pneumonia tested positive at AIIMS in Delhi. The Ministry of health and Family Welfare, on the other hand, has denied these assertions.
