Why are there 5 crore cases pending in indian courts?

There is a rising number of cases that are pending in courts all around the nation. More than 5 crore cases are waiting in the nation's courts as of late, according to Law minister Arjunram Meghwal, who brought up this problem in the lok sabha during the winter session of Parliament. Eighty thousand lawsuits are pending at the supreme court alone. Meghwal responded to a query in parliament by stating that there are 5,08,85,856 cases pending in the courts as of december 1. Of these, high courts have jurisdiction over 61 lakh cases. Over 4.46 crore cases are pending in district and subordinate courts at the same time.
Many unresolved cases following the monsoon session?
The number of pending cases was previously disclosed by Law minister Arjunram Meghwal in response to a query during the monsoon session. "According to the data received from the Integrated Case Management System (ICMIS), as of July 1, 69,766 cases are pending in the supreme court," he said, citing a total of 5.2 crore cases that were pending. As of July 14, 60,62,953 cases were pending in the High Court, while 4,41,35,357 cases were waiting in the district and subordinate courts, according to data available on the National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG).
On the other hand, 5,08,85,856 cases are reportedly pending during the winter session of Parliament. Evidently, the number of open cases is rising. The supreme court was reported to have 69,766 open cases at the end of the previous session, but this figure has now risen to 80 thousand.
