Social media ablaze with conspiracy theories about Royal family..?


Amid worries about king Charles's condition, rumors of the monarch's death have been stoked by platform X speculations, which have included references to flags flying at half mast in government buildings. The Royal Family did not confirm anything regarding it. Since his prostate surgery at The london Clinic last month, king Charles' health has been in the spotlight. The medical staff observed "a separate issue of concern" during the treatment. Later Buckingham Palace announced that Charles had received a cancer diagnosis. 


The Palace states that Charles did not have prostate cancer and that he did not have prostate surgery as a result of the disease. Nonetheless, the king has reduced some of his public appearances per medical advice. He nevertheless still meets with prime minister Rishi Sunak once a week. 

Soon after learning of his close friend Ian Farquhar's passing at the king's Highgrove estate on march 15, king Charles was observed leaving Windsor Castle. Before this, on march 14, king Charles met at Buckingham Palace with the Jamaican High Commissioner and his spouse. He had a video conference with Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, prior to that. He also had meetings with Mauritania's and Algeria's ambassadors. Concurrently, there have been conjectures and conspiracies on social media, primarily X, suggesting that king Charles might have died. 

One member on X asserted, "In the United Kingdom, some government buildings have their flags flown at half mast." The user asserted, "Kate Middleton died, or king Charles is dead and abdicating." The user went on, "The streets are saying king Charles is dead?" But the X user is not alone in making this assertion. Another person remarked, "It's been reported that king Charles passed away on Saint Patrick's Day."
