Online discussion has been triggered by a recent video showing an indian techie working in New York. The woman in the video, who makes ₹88 lakhs a year as a supply chain manager for a pharmaceutical business, was questioned if she would return to india if she were given the same wage.
 
Many people were surprised by the woman's response. The woman responded without hesitation, saying that if her pay was the same, she would return to India. The woman said that her pay was "good for the basics" when asked whether she was happy with it, but she would constantly strive for more.

Many social media users are perplexed by her response. "Why come here when you want to go back?" said one person. "This is the problem with first-generation people living abroad," another person said. They are never content with their pay in relation to their expertise and skill set.
