Director vikram Sukumaran hails from Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram district. He had left for chennai with the desire to become an actor in cinema. He first joined director Balu Mahendra as an assistant. He has worked with director Balu Mahendra in 56 short films released between 1999 and 2000, including films like Julie Ganapathy. It was then that he got the opportunity to act in the film Polladhavan directed by director Vetrimaaran. He acted in that film. After that, he also acted in Sasikumar's film Kodiveeran. Subsequently, he made his debut as a director with the film Madha Yaanai Koottam, which was released in 2013. Following this film, he directed the film Ravana Kottam 10 years later. This film starred Shanthanu, Anandhi, Prabhu, Ilavarasu, Deepa, and Aruldas. This film was not well received. He was last directing the film Therum Borum, which was centered on the climbing.
But it is said that this film is not yet completed. He has revealed himself in cinema not only as a director but also as an actor and a writer. It was in this situation that vikram Sukumaran suddenly died of a heart attack. He died tragically on the bus while coming from madurai to Chennai. This incident has caused great shock. Shanthanu expressed his condolences on his X page for the death of vikram Sukumaran. In it, he posted, "Dear brother, I learned a lot from you. We will cherish every moment. You left too soon. We will miss you."
