Union Petroleum minister Hardeep Singh puri on monday criticized the recent demonstrations of Khalistan supporters ahead of the G7 summit in Canada. He called the protester's hired ponies and said that they should not be taken seriously.

In a program organized at the bjp office in Delhi, Union minister Hardeep Puri said that another video is going viral, in which these people are protesting against the neighboring country because they have not received funding from them. These are hired ponies. Do not take them seriously.

Expressing concern over the rising prices of oil and gas amid the Iran-Israel conflict, puri assured that India's energy reserves are strong. Today our energy situation is such that we have adequate reserves, and our production is increasing. In 2014, when our bio-fuel blending was 1.4 percent, who would have thought that it would reach 20 percent now?

He also mentioned the recent progress in India's green energy sector. He said that green hydrogen, which was considered the fuel of the future, is now becoming a reality. IOCL has issued a tender for its panipat refinery and hydrogen-fuelled buses will run in the coming time.

Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri's statement comes at a time when the G-7 summit is to be held in Canada. Leaders of some of the world's biggest economic powers are arriving for the Group of Seven summit in the Canadian Rockies on Sunday. prime minister Narendra Modi is also arriving in Canada. The summit is being overshadowed by the growing conflict between Israel-Iran and the trade war waged by US President Donald Trump.
