Many nations view pakistan as an untrustworthy country, and even turkey, which was previously a close ally, has now had to face the same harsh reality. Although pakistan and turkey have long been friends, particularly in trying times, pakistan has pulled out of a huge drone agreement worth USD 900 million (about Rs. 7,735 crore).

In this significant defense deal, pakistan committed to purchasing advanced drones from Turkey.  As part of the agreement, turkey even shipped 100 to 200 drones to Pakistan. However, the trouble started when things didn't go as planned after the drones were tested.

Turkish drones failed against India
During the tensions with india (during Operation Sindoor), pakistan attempted to use Turkey's Asisguard Songar drones, but they were quickly destroyed. India's defenses swiftly defeated them. While some drones were destroyed in the air, others crashed in open areas. This demonstrated the ineffectiveness of Turkey's drones against India.

Pakistan walks away from the deal
Pakistan chose not to receive the remaining drones or carry out the agreement after this humiliation. pakistan rejected the drones and refused to pay for them, claiming they were of poor quality, even though turkey had already offered help.

Since pakistan welcomes assistance when needed but abandons it when things go wrong, this incident has now become yet another illustration of why many nations don't trust it.  This betrayal stunned even President Erdogan of turkey, who attempted to portray himself as a strong supporter of Pakistan.

Why pakistan no longer trusts Turkey?
Here is the most recent evidence that pakistan no longer trusts Turkey.  Turkey is currently awaiting a large shipment of drones that pakistan had bought, but pakistan will not accept them.

Yasar Guler, the Turkish defense minister, and Hakan Fidan, the country's foreign minister, are furious about this and have even traveled to pakistan to resolve the matter.  Despite their efforts to persuade pakistan to accept the drones and uphold the USD 900 million agreement, pakistan made it clear that it would not purchase what it now refers to as "low-quality equipment."  "If you have a better deal, let us know," pakistan instructed them.

Pakistan now wants Bayraktar TB2 drones
Turkey's sophisticated Bayraktar TB2 drones, which are more potent and frequently employed in contemporary conflict, are now what pakistan truly desires. pakistan wants turkey to include them in the same agreement and is attempting to obtain that instead. However, it appears that turkey is not yet prepared to do so.
