A LANDSLIDE THAT DEFIED LOGIC, MATH, AND REALITY

The NDA’s sweeping victory in bihar — a near-hurricane result — deserves formal congratulations.
But it also deserves something else:

Scrutiny.

Questions.
And honest disbelief.

Because when a government rules a state for two continuous decades, the results should reflect its performance, not contradict it.
Yet in bihar, the ruling alliance won with the precision of a well-oiled machine — while the state continues to crumble on almost every human development indicator.

This isn’t about ideology.
This isn’t about partisanship.
This is about a math problem that doesn’t solve itself.

📉 TWENTY YEARS OF GOVERNANCE — AND TWENTY YEARS OF REMAINING LAST

Two decades of rule should produce:

  • Better incomes

  • Better jobs

  • Better safety

  • Better infrastructure

bihar got the opposite.

Poverty: Worst in India

Hunger: Worst in India

Per Capita Income: Dead last

Youth Unemployment: Double digits, chronic

Crime: 953 crimes every single day

Crime Growth: 81% increase since 2010

Corruption: 12 bridges collapsing in 17 days

This is not stagnation.
This is rot.

No state in india has stayed this far behind for this long — under the same leadership.

And yet… the voters rewarded this performance with a 90% winning strike rate for one of the ruling parties.

How?

⚔️ A LANDSLIDE VICTORY… IN A LANDSLIDE OF PROBLEMS

Let’s put the numbers in perspective:

  • bjp contested 101 seats

  • bjp won 93

  • That is 92.07% success

  • One of the highest hit rates in any major state election in decades

And this happened in a state:

  • That is the poorest

  • That is the hungriest

  • That is the least industrialised

  • That has a collapsing infrastructure

  • That has sky-high crime

  • That has rampant unemployment

  • That has rising corruption

How does a government with this track record get a result that looks like a performance bonus?

It’s a question worth asking.

🧨 THE CANDIDATE QUALITY CONTRADICTION

Another uncomfortable fact:

65% of bjp candidates had criminal antecedents.

Not “some.”
Not “a few.”
Not “alleged.”

But nearly two-thirds.

In a state already drowning in daily crime, voters supposedly rewarded candidates with background cases at a rate no other state would tolerate.

How does a crime-hit state reward crime-linked candidates?

What explains this contradiction?

🧩 THE bihar PARADOX: A MANDATE THAT MAKES NO SENSE

There are only three possibilities when an election result looks like this:

1. The public is extremely satisfied with 20 years of decline

That makes little sense on the ground.

2. The opposition is catastrophically weak

Partially true — but weak opposition cannot explain a near-perfect victory.

3. The election behaviour in bihar follows patterns that defy normal political logic

This is the part people struggle to understand.

A state with the worst outcomes gave the ruling alliance one of the best outcomes in indian electoral history.

It’s not impossible.
But it is unusual.
Very unusual.

🏚️ THE GAP BETWEEN GROUND REALITY AND ELECTORAL REALITY

On the ground, bihar looks like a state waiting for rescue.
On paper, the results look like a state celebrating excellence.

These two realities do not meet.
They do not overlap.
They do not reflect each other.

This mismatch is the core mystery.

When performance collapses but victory skyrockets, any rational observer is entitled to ask:

What exactly did the voters reward?

🔥 THE FINAL QUESTION: WHAT ARE WE REALLY SEEING HERE?

No allegations.
No theories.
No claims.

Just one honest, unavoidable question:

How does a government with the worst development record in india achieve one of the best electoral records in India?

Until someone offers a convincing answer, this election will remain one of the most perplexing puzzles in recent political history.

Democracy thrives on transparency — and bihar 2025 has left india with more questions than clarity.
