Rice Payasam Recipe

The Rice Payasam is a creamy and sweet pudding made from rice and  milk, and jaggery or sugar. It’s a loved dessert in the course of gala's and special activities and symbolizing prosperity and sweetness in life.


elements:


1/2 cup uncooked rice


1 liter complete milk


3/4 cup jaggery or sugar (adjust to taste)


1/four cup grated coconut (elective)


2 tablespoons ghee


10 cashews and 10 raisins


4-5 cardamom pods, crushed

Rinse and soak the rice for half-hour.


Boil the milk in a heavy-bottomed pan and  upload soaked rice and cook on low warmth until gentle and the combination thickens and  stirring often.


upload jaggery or sugar and stir till dissolved.


In a small pan, heat ghee and fry cashews and raisins till golden

It  upload cardamom powder.


blend the fried nuts and raisins into the payasam and  cook dinner for some other five mins and cast off from heat. Serve warm or chilled.
