Prime minister Narendra Modi paid a surprise visit to the Central Vista project's construction site on september 26 at approximately 8:45 p.m. According to accounts, he spent over an hour at the construction site of the new parliament building.

The whole cost of the new parliament building, including labour costs, new features, and all other costs, is estimated to be approximately Rs 971 crore. PM Modi recently opened the Central Vista project's defence office buildings on Kasturba gandhi Marg in Delhi. Over 7,000 defence troops and office workers will be housed in these facilities.
