On friday (April 25), after friday prayers, there was a fierce clash between two student groups in the university campus, which created an atmosphere of tension in the campus. Many students have also been injured in the incident.

No official statement has come from the university administration in this matter so far nor has any formal complaint been lodged with the police. However, sources associated with the campus said that 5 to 6 students have been injured in the clash, who were immediately taken to M.A. Ansari health Center for first aid. All the students were discharged after treatment.

Argument happened a day before, clash the next day

The incident took place near Gate No. 7 of the university, where both the groups allegedly attacked with bricks and stones. According to news agency PTI, the dispute started on thursday (April 24) at around 11 pm, when a minor altercation took place between a student from Mewat region and some students belonging to Bihar. It is being told that during this altercation, a group of students from bihar attacked the student from Mewat, which spread tension.

The situation worsened on friday when both the parties once again came face to face after Namaz. Gathering near Gate No. 7, both the groups attacked each other with sticks, bricks and stones. This clash created an atmosphere of panic in the university campus. Although the situation was soon brought under control by the police or university security, tension and anger is still being seen among the students. It is not clear at the moment what was the real reason for the clash, but local students say that external influence and regional factionalism are increasing in the university, which is giving rise to such incidents.
