According to ravi Gupta, he has requested ED and cbi to investigate this matter several times during the last five years, as he believes that it could be a part of some big money laundering. He expressed surprise that no central agency has considered his complaint. He said that getting income tax notices is like mental harassment for me. Don't know how many people like me are suffering by being victims of such fake documents. I don't know when it will end.
Cases of wrong IT notices received in recent days
The stationery shop owner has received an income tax notice of Rs 12.2 crore in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. With the help of his documents, someone has set up two diamond merchant companies in Surat, Gujarat. Similarly, a notice has been sent to a daily wage labourer in Roorkee, uttarakhand to pay a tax of Rs 70 lakh.
