Jacqueline Fernandez: After Sukesh came the statement of Jacqueline's lawyer, said- I repeat, he is innocent

Jacqueline Fernandez: bollywood actress  Jacqueline Fernandez has been accused by the ED in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar. However, the actress's lawyer has claimed that jacqueline fernandez had no hand in the alleged scam. He also revealed the letter written by Sukesh in a recent interview. The lawyer said, "Jacqueline is innocent, and 'she will continue to fight for her dignity by following due process of law'".

Sukesh wrote a letter in defense of Jacqueline

Let us tell you that Sukesh Chandrashekhar wrote a handwritten letter defending Jacqueline. The letter, which was released to the media through the lawyer, read, "It is very unfortunate that Jacqueline has been made an accused in the PMLA (Money Laundering) case... we were in a relationship and if I asked her and her family What was his fault if given a gift... he never asked for anything other than to love me and stand by him..."

Jacqueline's lawyer's reaction to Sukesh's letter

Jacqueline's lawyer Prashant Patil referred to the letter written by Sukesh during the interview. "If this letter is written by Sukesh Chandrashekhar, then the allegations leveled by him should be seriously, independently, and impartially investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED)," he said. His statement may be recorded under relevant provisions of law and an inquiry may be conducted to ascertain the truth."

He further added, "Jacqueline is innocent. She will fight for her dignity 'by following the due process of law'." The purpose of any investigation is to find out the truth. Even if certain facts are disclosed by the accused, there should be an impartial investigation by the agencies. I repeat, that my client is innocent and she will fight for her dignity by following due process of law."

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had opposed Jacqueline's bail plea in the money laundering case related to Sukesh. The agency had said that the actress never cooperated with the investigation and disclosed it only when evidence came to the fore. The ED had also said that Jacqueline appears to be powerful, and hence, may interfere in the ongoing investigation
