We are still wailing over varun Dhawan, Bhediya! On november 25, the horror-comedy, which also stars Kriti Sanon, was released. The audience is eager to see varun change into a werewolf. Bhediya, a werewolf drama starring kriti sanon and varun Dhawan, is directed by amar Kaushik, who brought back the horror-comedy genre with stree (2018). Bhediya had a respectable Day 1 start. On its first day, it earned more than Rs 12 crore in worldwide box office receipts. The movie made Rs. 11 crore on its first sunday in theatres, breaking the double-digit earnings barrier. As a result, the total amount collected is Rs 28.05 crore. On the first sunday, there was a 28–32% occupancy rate in the morning.

Box office India stated that while "Bhediya exhibited good growth in mass pockets on sunday, these areas had to leap 50% plus owing to low numbers on the first two days and this is usually feasible in sunday in mass circuits, but Bhediya growth is more like 25-30% which is nice but not good enough." It went on to say, "The metros and mini metros where the movie does best often experience modest growth on sunday, so the overall increase for the movie will be between 15 and 20%. The movie made between 10.75 and 11 crores net on sunday, bringing its weekend earnings to a total of 27 crores net."
