Actor Noah Schnapp from Stranger Things has just come out as gay. The character of Will Byers, a teenage boy who is secretly gay, is played by the 18-year-old actor in the Netflix series. Noah Schnapp wrote, "When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years, all they said was 'we know'" in a video that was uploaded to his TikTok account on Thursday, january 5. 


Schnapp was lip-syncing to an audio clip from another TikTok that featured someone saying, "You know what it never was? That grave. Never was it that serious. In all honesty, it won't ever be that serious. I guess I'm more like Will than I thought, Noah stated in the title of his video, alluding to Will's sexual orientation in the Stranger Things television series. 

Will's sexual orientation has been a topic of discussion on Stranger Things since since Mike informed his pal, "It's not my fault you don't like girls," during a heated exchange. Will Byers is gay and in love with his closest friend Mike, according to a later confirmation from Schnapp to Variety (Finn Wolfhard). "Is it just that he's growing up slower than his friends? It was kind of there all the time, but you never really knew," I asked. stated Schnapp.
