The telugu cinema industry has also produced films with large budgets, like Pushpa, Saaho, Sye Raa narasimha Reddy, RRR, and Radhe Shyam. While some films had excellent results, others didn't. The success rate in the sector is quite low, and most tier 2 Heroes have recently performed poorly at the box office. Even blockbuster hero movies had trouble, but the makers did not cut corners. The primary cause is the fact that even medium-budget movies are making more than $40 million in non-theatrical sales.
A medium-budget film in the telugu cinema today ranges in price from 60 to 70 crores. As heroes themselves are receiving close to 100Cr in compensation, the minimum budget for big-star movies has increased to 200Cr. The producers are now in a difficult situation since despite increasing spending, the success percentage still remains low.
