The producers of Prabhas' "Project K" have abruptly announced that january 12, 2024, will mark the premiere of this massive film that is now in production. The date must be the same for all languages since this is a pan-Indian film. But there's a good reason why this unexpected move is upsetting telugu industry circles.

Sankranthi 2024 will see the release of a number of more movies, many of which have already begun planning but have not yet made an official announcement. The first of them is none other than ram charan and S Shankar's movie #RC15, which was produced by dil Raju, and the filmmakers have been attempting to secure this release date for a very long time. Along with Tamil, they hope to make the release popular in Hindi. trivikram and Mahesh's #SSMB28 is also considering the Sankranthi slot only if the dasara date is missed. 

In the same vein, if Pawan Kalyan's hari Hara Veera Mallu and Vinodaya Sitam remake miss their target release dates for late summer/Dasara and December, respectively, respectively, they are reportedly eyeing the Sankranthi window. The producers of these films must make a lot of adjustments now that Project K has formally acknowledged that they are at the Sankranthi box office, either by organizing their releases a week later or ahead of the prabhas starrer. The biggest issue is theatre adjustment, though, and we must wait and see how things turn out since there is still about a year to plan.
