Janhvi Kapoor in an interview with Barkha Dutt talked about how difficult it was for her to get over the demise of her mother and legendary actress Sridevi. However, the actress explained that she felt a strange sense of relief after her mother's death, as she believed that after all the good things, she deserved something bad. Talking about the same, he said, "When I lost my mother, of course, it was a huge tragedy, my heart was broken, but it's a very scary feeling that 'something bad happened' so that I got everything in life. The good stuff, all the privileges and easy access to all the things that I've been hearing all my life, all this can be justified." Janhvi further added, "I thought 'okay now something bad has happened, I deserve this, I deserve this horrible thing that has happened to me', it was a strange feeling of relief."


Janhvi Kapoor spent most of her time at work after Sridevi's death. 


Losing her mother sridevi was one of the most difficult things in Janhvi Kapoor's life and she struggled to overcome it. In the same interview, Janhvi revealed that after her mother's death, she started spending most of her time at work and said that everything else had become a blur. In his words, "I don't think I remember anything. That whole month was a blur to me and a long time after that was a blur too."

During the interview, Janhvi talked about how she felt during Covid after recovering from her mother's grief and said, “During Covid, I was forced to spend a minute with myself and my thoughts and I realized how useless I had become. Another aspect of this that I considered, I think messed me up, was the validation and approval I sought from my mother. Janhvi expressed regret for not being able to do better in the first film


Janhvi Kapoor said that she could have done a better job in her debut film. However, after relying on the audience for love and support after Sridevi's demise, janhvi kapoor realized that no one was going to love her like her mother. So when she made her debut, she failed to strike a chord with the audience, which made her goof off. Reflecting on the same, Janhvi said that she feels she could have done a better job and added, "Not everyone in the world will love you like their mother. When my first film came, I was like 'I want The love of the audience will come through the mother and it will be the mother, but that was my stupidity as it was my first film and I could have done a better job."

Talking about the work front, janhvi kapoor will be seen in upcoming films 'Bawal' and 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' this year. As of now, it is clear that Janhvi misses her mother a lot even today.
