The last several years haven't been fantastic for Keerthy Suresh's career. She gave a groundbreaking performance in Mahanati, but since then, she has opted for some dreadful women-focused movies that are hurting her reputation. In the star-hero movie Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Keerthy likewise tried to play a stereotypically commercial heroine character, but it just served to fuel unwarranted criticism of her. She is now working on dasara, which stars Nani.

This is presumably her final opportunity to establish herself as a prominent commercial heroine. She will once again have producers knocking on her door if the movie is a success and people like her performance. And if that doesn't happen, Keerthy will have a very difficult time maintaining her status as a popular heroine in mainstream telugu cinema. She could have to go back to making low-budget films aimed for women, which might only be acceptable for OTT.

Keerthy's portrayal of vennela in dasara is expected to be wonderful, according to recent comments from Nani, particularly during the Bathkamma scene in the climax. We can only hope that Keerthy suresh returns with a bang for Dasara. On march 30, the movie will be available in telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
