Due to Vamshi, Vijay lost to ajith for the 3rd time..!?

Actors ajith and Vijay are the top contenders in tamil cinema for more than 10 years. When their films are released, it becomes a huge celebration for the fans. And from time to time comparisons of previously released films are also trending on social media. Thalapathy Vijay has been the unshakable success of the kollywood box office for the past few years. As far as ajith is concerned, his films have been experiencing slippage from time to time. Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu and Ajith's Thunivu collided on the same day as the last pongal release. It has not been officially released which film has won the box office.

Meanwhile, Varisu was telecasted last tamil New Year. Whenever Vijay films are shown, the channel's TRP will go up. Vijay's 2004 film Gilli has maintained the channel's TRP till date. But the recently released Varisu has completely slipped up. It also received lower TRPs than Ajith's 2019 film Viswasam. This film directed by Siruthai Siva starring actor ajith kumar is a family film after a long time. No other film has ever achieved the TRP rating achieved by this film when it was first aired on television. And recently it has been telecasted for the third time.The film has got more than the ratings achieved by Vijay's Varisu. Out of these two films which have been released almost five years apart, Viswasam is more popular. It is a fact that Thalapathy Vijay, who is seen as the box office king, could not overtake Ajith's film on television. And even Vijay starrer bigil and Sarkar are next to Viswasam in TRP rating. Like Ajith's film, the superstar's film Annathe is still mixing in the TRP till date. Even though the fans have declared Varisu a huge hit, the TRP rating of the telecast shows that it has not been well received by the public.
