Young hero Nikhil Siddhartha makes a return to his home ground, a college campus coming of age love story just the way he started with happy days 10 years back, this time with Kirrak Party, the remake of Kannada blockbuster Kirik Party, directed by Debutant Sharan Kopisetty and costarring Simran Pareenja and Samyuktha Hegde. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive Kirrak Party first report.

Kirrak Party revolves around Krishna (Nikhil Siddhartha) who falls for Meera (Simran Pareenja) in his first year, and as they fall for each other and things go on a happy note, Meera faces a tragic end, changing Krishna's life forever. Years pass, and now Krishna is a rugged, bearded rebellious student leader who picks a fight for anything and everything. First-year student Sathya (Samyuktha Hegde) likes him and as they get into touch, she finds his other side and helps himself realize, as well as fall in love again.

With fine performances from Nikhil Siddhartha, Simran Pareenja and a bubbly cute performance by Samyuktha Hegde, Kirrak Party is a treat to watch. Music by Ajaneesh Loknath is perfect for the campus fun setup and of his songs Guruvaram Sayankalam is the pick of the lot. With stunning and colourful visuals captured by Advaita Gurumurthy, and with the interesting screenplay by Sudheer Varma, nostalgic memories are sure  guaranteed.  Though the second half drags a bit with several extended sequences and bad song placements, this Kirrak Party is worth a ride for the simple feel-good screenplay and the fun-filled campus setup.
