Born and raised in kerala, mamata Mohandas completed her schooling in bahrain and graduated with a Bachelor of Computers degree from Mount Carmel college, Bangalore.  Also learning Carnatic - Hindustani music. After twenty years, she made her debut in the malayalam industry as a heroine. While doing so as a heroine in malayalam, she got an opportunity in telugu cinema.  But she could not be set as an actress in Telugu. mamata last appeared in the movie Kedi opposite nagarjuna in 2009. After that marriage, she got divorced and faced a lot of struggles. She was diagnosed with cancer twice. However, mamta Mohan Das has been missing from the tollywood industry for over a decade, even after earning a good reputation as a singer and heroine.
